So of course you may have some questions that you need answered. Below are our 10 most frequently asked questions at the moment so you can find all the answers you need in one simple place.

1. Where can I find a more detailed manual for the SC490?

2. Why does it show my IMEI state isn’t compatible when I typed it correctly?


You may be trying to check your device’s compatibility on our Jethro Mobile website and run into some issues. 

Though you may originally think your IMEI is compatible with Jethro Mobile, our IMEI checker is accurate. The only discrepancy you may see is if your phone is partially compatible, our website will display compatibility. 

 

3. Can I download any apps on my SC490?


Our SC490 is designed to be simple and free from internet use. Because of this, no, the SC490 cannot download any apps and does not have an app store.

 

4. Can I use your service in Canada?


Our service does not work in Canada. While we are a Canadian company, we currently do not provide service in Canada. We instead noticed the high roaming charges many face when visiting the US, so we wanted to solve that problem with affordable and reliable service in the States. 

 

5. Can I use your service in Europe, and Mexico?


No, our service only works in the United States. You can make international calls and texts, but all services must be used inside of the US.

 

6. If I run out of minutes do I have to get a new SIM card?


You just ran out of minutes on your plan. Oh no! You find you love our service and want to add more minutes. 

Luckily, if you run out of minutes, you do not need to get a new SIM card. Instead, you can purchase an add on or renew your plan at any time. 

 

7. Why does my account only show a one month purchase when I purchased 3 months?


If you purchased multiple months but your account only shows one month, don’t worry. Our smartphone plans come in 30 day time spans, so if you ordered multiple months, the next 30 days will kick in after the first 30 days and so on.

8. How long can I keep my phone number and SIM card after my plan expires?

If you are traveling or need to wait a while before adding to your plan, don’t worry, your phone number will be yours for a while longer.

We keep your phone number for 88 days after your plan has expired. If you wish to keep it active longer than that, we recommend adding the starter plan which is only $5. 

 

9. Can I port a Canadian phone number?


Unfortunately, no, we can only port US phone numbers. Just as how our service only works in the US, we can only port US numbers. 

 

10. Are recurring payments available?


If you find yourself not wanting to worry about your service expiring, that is no problem!

We offer autopay. So yes, you can easily set up recurring payments. 

All we need is a credit or debit card to enable autopay. We cannot use a bank account number, check, or cash payments.
